I would just reassemble it the same way it came apart - what you are looking at is called the working valve; there are various schemes used to hold the check balls (14 and 22) in place, until they are overcome by pump pressure - sometimes they are spring loaded, some jacks use small weights. reconcile with the photo of the gasket kit. And even if it was, manufacturers change designs over the years - most of the time there are gaskets left over from a kit, because whoever assembled the gasket kit knows there are many permutations of the same jack and they try to cover them all.Parts Page

Due to their generous application of a socket wrench and ill-fitting screwdrivers, I had to find and replace the pump plunger, plunger guide, all plugs and other miscellaneous. One end sits in a groove in the pump body, the other end butts against the top nut. There are no joints pictured, but clearly I need to seal the ends to prevent leaks and I guess a non-hardening sealant will make my life easier the next time I do. They did it twice and it never stopped leaking. Due to their generous application of an ill-fitting socket wrench and screwdrivers, I had to find and replace the pump plunger, plunger guide, all plugs and other miscellaneous. the parts and soft parts I originally planned to replace. They were also kind enough to seal all of the threaded openings with a sealant that hardened into the consistency and color of dark Titebond wood glue which I had to chip and peel off the threads. Now that I've taken it apart, I'm curious how to properly seal the tank tube. One end sits in a groove in the pump body, the other end butts against the top nut. Thanks.
